1. Overview
This website is operated by Marü Beauty and Wellness (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/537210/07), a company incorporated in South Africa. Throughout this site, the terms “we”, “us”, “our” and “MARÜ™” refer to Marü Beauty and Wellness (Pty) Ltd.
We offer this website, including all information, tools and products available from it, to you on condition that you accept all the terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. By visiting our site or buying something from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, including the Shipping & Delivery and Returns & Exchanges policies referenced in them.
Please read these terms carefully before using the site. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the site or place an order.
2. Who May Order
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract, and that the information you give us is accurate and complete.
3. Our Products
MARÜ™ sells cosmetic skincare products, handcrafted in small batches in South Africa.
We have made every effort to display our product colours and textures accurately, but we cannot guarantee that your screen shows them exactly as they are. Because our products are natural and made in small batches, slight variation in colour, scent and firmness between batches is normal. Natural butters are firmer in winter and softer in summer. None of this affects safety or quality.
We reserve the right to limit the quantity of any product we sell, to change product specifications, and to discontinue any product at any time.
4. Cosmetic Product Disclaimer
MARÜ™ products are cosmetics. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or skin condition. Nothing on this website is medical advice. If you have a skin condition or a known allergy, speak to a doctor or dermatologist before use.
You must patch test before full use: apply a small amount to your inner arm and wait 24 hours. Discontinue use immediately if redness, itching or irritation occurs. Our products are for external use only, must be kept away from the eyes, and must be kept out of reach of children and animals.
Individual results vary. Always apply SPF sunscreen after applying product to the face before going outdoors.
5. Prices and Payment
All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but a change will never affect an order you have already paid for.
Payments are processed securely through Payfast. We do not receive or store your card details. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for every purchase.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where we suspect fraud, where a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, or where stock is unavailable. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund you in full.
6. Orders and Acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract of sale only comes into existence once we accept your order and confirm dispatch. An order confirmation email is an acknowledgement that we have received your order, not acceptance of it.
7. Delivery
Delivery terms, costs and timeframes are set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.
8. Returns, Refunds and Your Consumer Rights
Your right to cancel, return and be refunded is set out in our Returns & Exchanges policy, which forms part of these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002. Where any provision of these terms conflicts with those Acts, those Acts prevail.
9. Accuracy of Information
We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material here is provided for general information and should not be relied on as the sole basis for making decisions. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we are under no obligation to update any information on it.
10. Intellectual Property
The MARÜ™ name, logo, packaging design, product photography, and all text and imagery on this site are the property of Marü Beauty and Wellness (Pty) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or exploit any part of this site or our brand assets without our prior written permission.
11. Prohibited Uses
You may not use this site or our products for any unlawful purpose, to solicit others to perform unlawful acts, to infringe our intellectual property rights, to submit false or misleading information, to upload malicious code, to collect or track the personal information of others, or to interfere with the security features of the site.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, MARÜ™, its directors and its employees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or our products.
Nothing in this clause excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
13. Privacy
We collect only the personal information we need to process and deliver your order — your name, delivery address, email address and contact number. We process it in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who need it to fulfil your order, such as our courier and our payment processor. You may ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing marubeautyandwellness@gmail.com.

This site may link to third-party sites and services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices, and a link does not imply endorsement.
15. Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service at any time by posting the updated version on this page. It is your responsibility to check this page from time to time. Your continued use of the site after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of it. The version in force at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

These Terms of Service are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and you consent to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
